The Durango Herald recently featured the behavioral health integration pilot underway at Pediatric Partners of the Southwest. The clinic has two counselors on staff, free to patients and funded through Rocky Mountain Health Plans. Patients can see a doctor and a counselor at the same time, and because the counselors don't have appointments of their own, they can spend as much time as patients need. It's the only pediatric practice on the Western Slope participating in the pilot. RMHP is collecting data from clinics where it has paid for counselors so it can measure the impact.
