Health care invests in housing

PATH Metro Villas, a new 65-unit supportive-housing community under construction in Los Angeles, will provide permanent homes to the homeless and those struggling to find affordable housing. What makes this news is that it’s largely supported through a health care organization. UnitedHealthcare invested $12 million. It’s part of a nationwide initiative to help people live healthier lives by connecting them to safe, affordable housing. The community also includes on-site support services to improve their well-being.
